What is included in a fishing charter?
Every trip is a comprehensive experience. We provide high-quality rods, reels, tackle, premium bait, and fuel. Captain Jeremy also provides expert guidance and professional cleaning and filleting of your catch at the end of the trip.
What are the rates for Salmon and Trout charters in Sheboygan?
- Full-Day (8-9 hours): $700 on weekdays (Mon-Thu) / $800 on weekends & holidays.
- Half-Day (6 hours): $500 on weekdays / $600 on weekends. Rates cover up to four guests. You may add up to two more people for $50 each (6 guests maximum).
When and where do we meet?
All trips depart from the Sheboygan Outboard Club (732 N Water St, Sheboygan, WI 53081). Meeting times are generally 4 AM or 3 PM, depending on your specific booking and the time of year.
What fishing license do I need? You must carry a paper copy of a valid Wisconsin fishing license.
- Existing License: You must add the “Great Lake Salmon/Trout Stamp.”
- No License: You can purchase a “2-Day Great Lakes Fishing” license, which includes the required stamp.
What should I pack for the boat?
Bring weather-appropriate layers (it is cooler on the water), sunglasses, and a camera. For sun protection, bring rub-on sunscreen only; spray versions damage the boat's electronics. We recommend soft-sided coolers for your food and drinks. Avoid messy snacks like sunflower seeds.
How is the weather handled?
Safety is our top priority. Lake Michigan has its own weather system that can differ from inland conditions. If the Captain determines the water is unsafe, we will not depart. We will share the weather data and resources used to make that decision with you.
Do you offer trips for species other than Salmon?
Yes. Beyond the peak Sheboygan Salmon season, we offer specialized trips for Walleye, Bluegill, and Crappie on inland waters like Lake Winnebago and Green Lake. We provide both beginner-friendly and technical "seasoned angler" options.
What about motion sickness and insects?
If you are prone to motion sickness, please take medication as directed before arrival. Regarding insects, do not bring repellent; it does not work on lake flies. We provide battery fans and swatters to keep the deck comfortable.
How do I get my fish home?
Once Captain Jeremy filletes your catch, you will need to transport it. Please leave a separate hard-sided cooler in your vehicle for the trip home and bring gallon-sized bags for the fillets.
